Short version: our tools run in your browser, and what you type into them is not sent to us.
What our tools do with your data
Every tool on Tallyvane runs on your own device. The numbers, names, addresses and documents you enter are processed in your browser and are not sent to our servers. We have no accounts, so we never ask for a password or email to use a tool.
To save your work between visits, some tools store your inputs in your browser's local storage. That data stays on your device. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for tallyvane.com, or by using a tool's "start new" option.
Advertising
Tallyvane is free because it shows ads. We use Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites, to limit how often you see an ad, and to measure ad performance.

Server logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when a page is requested, such as IP address, browser type and the page visited. We use it only to keep the site secure and running, and it is kept for a limited time.
Partner links
Some pages link to products we recommend. If you click a partner link and buy, we may earn a commission. The partner may set its own cookies when you visit its site; its privacy policy applies there. See our affiliate disclosure.
Analytics
We do not use analytics or tracking tools of our own. If that changes, we will update this policy before it happens.
Children
Our tools are meant for adults running businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
How long data is kept
Tool data stays in your browser until you delete it. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security. Emails you send us are kept while we answer your question and for a reasonable time afterwards, then deleted.
Legal bases (UK and EU visitors)
Under the UK and EU GDPR we rely on legitimate interests to run and secure the site, on your consent for personalised advertising cookies, and on legitimate interests to answer messages you send us. Google acts as an independent controller for the advertising data it collects; its privacy policy applies to that data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the use of your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority. US residents of states with privacy laws may opt out of targeted advertising and the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising cookies set by Google may count as "sharing" under some state laws; you can opt out using the ad choices links above.
Because tool data never reaches us, there is usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. For any request or question, email [email protected].
International transfers
Our hosting and advertising providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States, under the safeguards those providers put in place.
