How Poshmark fees work
Poshmark charges US sellers one fee per sale. On a sale under $15 it is a flat $2.95. On a sale of $15 or more it is 20% of the sale price. There are no listing fees and no separate payment processing fee.
The fee is charged on the sale price only. The buyer pays for shipping with a prepaid Poshmark label, so shipping does not pass through your earnings and is not commissioned.
Fee = $2.95 if the sale price is under $15 Fee = Sale price × 20% if the sale price is $15 or more Earnings = Sale price − Fee
Pricing around the $15 line
The switch from a flat fee to 20% creates a small pricing trap. A $14.99 sale earns you $12.04, but a $15.00 sale earns only $12.00. Below $15, you keep every extra dollar of price; from $15, you keep 80 cents of each, so price just under $15 or comfortably above it.
For very cheap items the flat fee takes a large share: $2.95 is 59% of a $5 sale. Bundling low-priced items into one sale lowers the fee as a share of what you earn.
Earnings at $14.99 = $14.99 − $2.95 = $12.04 Earnings at $15.00 = $15.00 − $3.00 = $12.00
Shipping and other costs to watch
Poshmark’s standard label covers parcels up to 5 lb, and the buyer pays for it. If your item needs a heavier label, you pay for the upgrade from your earnings: $5 for 5.01–10 lb and $10 for 10.01–15 lb.
Shipping discounts you offer to buyers also come out of your earnings, so add them to your item cost in the calculator. Since October 2026, overweight parcels sent without an upgraded label are charged to the seller as well.
Setting a price to earn what you want
Above $15, divide the amount you want to earn by 0.8 to get the listing price. To earn $40, list at $50. Remember that buyers often make offers, so leave room above your minimum.
Price to earn a set amount (at $15 or more) = Earnings wanted ÷ 0.8
eBay vs Poshmark vs Mercari vs Depop vs Etsy vs TikTok Shop fees
The table below runs one US sale through each marketplace’s standard fees: a $40 item with $8 shipping paid by the buyer and no sales tax, no ads or promotions. It counts only the fees the seller pays.
The cheapest platform on paper is not always the one that leaves you the most profit. Poshmark’s buyer pays a flat shipping label that is not commissioned, Depop charges its buyers a separate marketplace fee, and a platform with more buyers for your item may sell it faster or for more.
Depop (US) $2.03 3.3% + $0.45 processing, no selling fee TikTok Shop $2.88 6% referral fee Mercari $4.80 10% of item + shipping Etsy $5.01 listing, 6.5% transaction, 3% + $0.25 processing eBay (most categories) $6.93 13.6% + $0.40 per order Poshmark $8.00 20% of the item price
Where these rates come from
The fees come from Poshmark’s US help centre, checked in November 2026. Poshmark Canada and other countries use different fees, and Poshmark can change its fees, so check the help centre for your country and edit the fields to match.
Worked example
A seller lists a sweater at $50 and accepts an offer of $40. The sweater cost $12 at a thrift store.
| Sale price | $40.00 |
| Poshmark fee (20%) | $8.00 |
| Earnings | $32.00 |
| Item cost | $12.00 |
| Profit | $20.00 (50% margin) |
Poshmark keeps $8 and the seller makes $20. Had the sweater sold for $12 instead, the fee would be $2.95 and the seller would lose $2.95 on it.
